| With the development of modern medicine, cytobiology and molecular biology, it is realized that the incidence and development of many diseases is closely associated with functional disorder or defect of immune system. Aiming at all kinds of cases, to regulate the immune function of patients becomes the emphasis in research all of the worlds. Thymosin, as immunopotentiating agent, is being widely studied and extensively used in clinic.The traditional process to produce thymosin considers calf thymus as raw materials, add 3 fold distilled water, grinded by colloid, adjust the PH value with 3.0-4.0. The mixture was freeze thawing repeatedly twice, then heated to 80℃for 15 minutes. The PH value of the supernatant was adjusted to the level which is corresponded with government standard (6.0-7.5). It will be completed after ultrafiltrating. But the quantity of peptide in products by this methods is lower, so does the activity.Based by my experience of technology exploitation in pharmaceutical enterprise with QA standard, we improved the process of extraction and purification for thymosin by deep-freezing, accelerating, ### and ultrafiltrating. Though pharmaceutical enterprise was faced with more kinds of products, we investigate a low-cost, high-recovery and high-output method using available workshop and facilities, and made the quantity of peptide in products increased greatly. |
