In the process of welding of thick steel plate,strong welding residual stress is generated from the inner part. For this instance, the static load strength, dynamic load strength, fracture toughness, fatigue strength, buckling strength, dimensional stability and corrosion proof cracking are directly influenced by the welding residual stress. So, it's quite important to decrease and release the welding residual stress.Welding residual stress of steel plate can directly influence the fatigue strength of the structure. In anchorage area of tensile anchor plates type of cable-stayed bridges, there are quite a large number of welds and thick plate, and stress concentration. Irregular distribution of welding residual stress is also the primary problem. In order to resolve these problems, three full-scale modes were made to test the welding residual stress of anchorage areas in tensile anchor plates of Chongqing Jiangjin Guanyinyan Bridge. Furthermore ultrasound impact is imposed on welds of the models in order to research how the welding residual stress decreases and releases. The results of the test show that there is quite significant welding residual stress in anchorage areas of tensile anchor plates. Ultrasound impact can effectively decrease even release welding residual stress and can improve the states of stress, which makes the state of structure more reasonable and the distribution of the stress smoother. Ultrasound impact is an effective method that can solve the problem of welding residual stress in local area of steel bridge. And it is also good approach to decrease even release welding residual stress of welded components. The study also provides us a lot of reliable reference data for decreasing and avoiding welding residual stress in design and manufacture of similar structure. This thesis mainly researches that ultrasound impact can decrease and release the welding residual stress and its function as follows:1. The paper test and analysis effect of ultrasound impact on decreasing or releasing lateral and vertical welding residual stress and welding residual main stress.2. The paper test and analysis effect of ultrasound impact on the angleθof principal stress dispersive.3. The paper test and analysis effect of ultrasound impact on the equivalent stressσi of the welding line.By Analysis and discussion for experimental data,this thesis shows that ultrasound impact can effectively decrease or release welding residual stress about fillet weld of thick steel plates.From this, this thesis points out that ultrasound impact is effective way to solve the question of strong welding residual stress in local area of steel bridge.
