With the further realization of the importance of the energy,the research on thermal storage technique appears to be more and more valuable.The phase-change thermal storage has larger heat stored density and higher thermal efficiency.Compared with the other thermal stored ways, it is more compact and easier to be controlled and to match with the operating system,so the phase-change thermal storage gradually becomes a preferred heat stored technique and has a widely applied prospect.Therefore it is necessary to do a research on the phase-change materials and phase-change thermal transfer.A new phase-change material—SXR-S is adapted in the paper.The purpose of this paper is to study the heat stored and released characteristic of the new phase-change material by numerical simulation and experiment.Firstly,the mathematical and physical model of the phase-change problem is presented in the paper.The one-dimensional,non-steady state and liquid-solid phase mathematical model without natural convection is firstly established.Then the variation relation of the phase-change material temperature and water temperature is obtained by finite-difference method.Secondly,the heat stored and released characteristic of heat storage lab is developed. Characteristic and law of accumulation and liberation of heat on the phase change material—SXR -S is experimentally studied in this paper.It is also researched that the effect of velocity and temperature of water on accumulation and liberation of heat.The importance of each factor is confirmed and design project is optimized.Finally,the reliability of mathematical and physical model is validated by comparison of numerical simulation and experimental research.It can be seen from the comparison that the theoretical results is relatively agreement with experimental ones.It offers reference foundation for thermal storage equipment used in projects.
