Cadmium (Cd) is a strong toxicity heavy metal which effects both animal and plant seriously and stress human health by accumulates on food chain either. In this experiment, we study a plant- Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet.et Perr. by three aspects. First, through out the study on tissue culture and rapid propagation of Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet.et Perr., to provide theory basis on rapidding its generalize and application and keeping its fine characters. Second, under the tissue culture condition, we can observing the influence to different tissue culture stage under different Cd levels. And under the soil culture condition, we can observing the change on morphology, especially on root morphology, which confirm the Cd toxicity surely. At last, through out the study on different Cd-accumulate quatity and different Cd-accumulate parts of Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet.et Perr. to make certain its Cd-accumulative character, and offer novel approaches to restore the polluted soils. We successfully obtained the experimentative results as following:1.Through out the tissue culture by fresh leaves of Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet.et Perr. , we can obtain largeness seedlings in short times, and prove its maneuverability on propagation and application.2.There is high sensitivity on Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet.et Perr.tissue culture process. On the callus formation stage, even a slight Cd pollution (≥10 mg/kg) will effect seriously. Alrough the callus grow similarly, it will turn yellow, brown, even to death. When Cd achieve 40 mg/kg, the callus form slowly and immediately go to death. On the root formation stage, a medium with Cd (30 mg/kg) can lead its buds brown gradually, and go to death at last.3.On soil culture experiment, there is rather tolerance on Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet.et Perr. adult plant. When the soil polluted slightly, it will promote its growth. On the low-Cd condition, it influent slightly and on the high-Cd condition, its inhibition will appearance. When the soil Cd achieves 50 mg/kg, it will have remarkable change on morphology, root and biomass. When the soil Cd achieve 200 mg/kg, it will stop growth completely.4.It has a large number of Cd-accumulate quantity both in aerial parts and underground parts. Under Cd pollution conditions, the Cd-accumulate quantity >100mg/kg, the translocation factor>1, indicate that Kalanchoe daigremontiana Hamet.et Perr. have Cd-accumulative characters. There has remarkable positive correlation between Cd-accumulate quantity in aerial parts and soil Cd, the higher soil Cd has, the higher Cd-accumulate quantity in aerial parts. On the other side, there has remarkable negative correlation between Cd-accumulate quantity and root index, the higher Cd-accumulate quantity has, the lower root index shows.
