At present, automation alteration of twin-screw extruders is one of primary technique problems that are desiderated to be solved quickly in food processing industry. Real-time monitoring food processing by computer is one of primary application of automation control technique in the domain of food processing machines. According to the request of the company, a computer DCS control system of twin-screw extruder is designed. RS-485 is used as field bus. The primary work in the paper is:1,The background, study meaning, task and character of the project is introduced in the paper. Also, the foreground of food processing machines is told in this paper.2,The total design scheme of the control system of twin-screw extruder is expounded in this paper.3,The hardware design of the control system is introduced in the paper. Universal module of collection and control in locale is used in SCM and the circuit design of the module is expounded. The structure figure of control system is given:4,Monitoring interfaces are finished by configuration software. The monitoring and operating picture, the warming picture and parameter function curve are designed in the paper.5,Communication between configuration software and C8051F020 is implemented by COM of computer and UARTO of SCM.6,The scheme of frequency conversion velocity of three asynchronous electromotor is given in the paper. The scheme is actualized in the project.7,According to temperature control request of twin-extruder and comparability between position PID arithmetic and increment PID arithmetic, temperature control arithmetic of this project is confirmed. Variational structure and coefficient PID arithmetic and anti-saturation PID arithmetic is used in the control system. Temperature control arithmetic is improved by cooling pump. The arithmetic is complished by VB programing, which flow is given in the paper.8,Anti-jamming hardware and software measure of twin-screw extruder control system is given in the paper. The integration of them works well.The feature in the paper is:1,Universal module of collection and control in locale is designed ,which is all-purpose in many aspects.2,Temperature control capability is ameliorated by cooling pump.3,The abuse of working separately in the conventional twin-screw extruders is settled by the control system in the paper. They are made up of curves, tables, cartoons of function estate of equipments, which involves a great deal of message Of machines.The control system functions well and its capability is steady by debug and function in the fields, which satisfies request. Upper reference value can be accepted by food processing researcher.
