Polyurethane (PU) is a kind of polymer which contains the group of–NHCOO–. The PU material exhibits many excellent performances, such as, high strength, abrasion resistance, low temperature resistance, oil resistance and chemistry resistance. It's extensively used in the textile industry. Its'product has the property of aging-resistant, softness and beautiful appearance etc. Moisture permeability affect the comfortableness of the clothing. If the moisture permeability of the clothes is poor, they will cause users to have the bad reaction. With the improvement of people's living standard, people have more and higher expectations for the comfort ability of clothing. Therefore moisture permeability becomes very important. But polyurethane is not as good as natural leather in feeling, especially permeability of water vapor. With modern advance technology rising and developing, ultra fine powder is not only a kind of function material, but also displays wide application prospect for blending and developing the new function materials.Polyurethane membrane was investigated after it had been made with the method that the ultra fine wool powder and the TiO2 compound modified polyurethane in this theme. The main results obtained can be summarized in 3 parts as follows:1. Polyurethane membrane was made in the way that ultra fine wool powder modified polyurethane. Its mechanics,waterproof and moisture permeability had been tested, and the result show that its moisture permeability was improved, but its mechanics performance reduced. This because wool powders put into make polyurethane capillary of membrane increased, so its moisture permeability become well but its mechanics performance become bad.2. In order to improve the mechanics performance of dry process polyurethane membranes, polyurethane membranes were made in the way that the ultra fine wool powder and the TiO2 compound modified polyurethane. The experiment show that polyurethane membranes'moisture permeability has not changed, but their mechanics improved much, after the TiO2 had been put into the polyurethane. Through the experiment we can know that polyurethane with a good property can be made after it had been put into 3% TiO2.3. In order to improve the mechanics performance of wet process polyurethane membranes, wool powder and polyurethane blended membrane were made in the way that coupling agent carry on surface modify to wool powder. The result shows that the polyurethane membranes'waterproof and moisture permeability have improved , but its mechanics performance has not obviously reduced after coupling agent have been put into the PU .Then we seek the best experiment condition through changing the quantity of coupling agent occasionally and suitable ultra sound temperature. We find we can make good polyurethane membrane which its waterproof and moisture permeability have improved, and its mechanics performance has not obviously reduced, If we modified wool power in the condition that with 5% coupling agent and super sound temperatures in the 50℃.
