The hydrogels which can respond to external stimulation, especially temperature sensitive hydrogels, have been given many investigations in recent years.Because of its biocompatibility and hydrophilic nature of saccharide,sugar-based hydrogel got more and more attentions as well. Few reports about sugar-based hydrogel could be found on domestic journal. So we focused on sugar-based hydrogel synthesis and their properties in this paper.Three kinds of sugar-based temperature sensitive hydrogels were synthesized.N-Isopropylacrylamide monomer(NIPA)was synthesized by acryloye chloride and isopropyl amine.Sugar-based monomer glycosylallylamide (AAG)was synthesized by allyl amine andeδ-gluconolactone in DMF solution. The temperature sensitive sugar-based hydrogels Poly(NIPA-co-AAG)were prepared by copolymerization of NIPA and AAG,using potassium persulfate(KPS)and tetramethylenediamine(TMEDA)as initiator in the presence of the crosslinking regent N,N' -methylenebisacrylamide(BisA). The structure of the hydrogel was confirmed by IR spectrum. The effects on swelling ratio(SR)of the hydrogel, such as feeding ratio of AAG and NIPA,the crosslinking regent concentration, temperature,pH and the salt concentration were studied. The results showed that the SR of the hydrogel Increased with the increasing of the AAG concentration, decreased with the high temperature and in the salt solution, and increased at lower or higher pH.The studies on the contracting dynamics of swelling hydrogel showed that the SR of hydrogel decreased obviously with increasing of the temperature, which presented notable heat-contracting thermosensitity. Sugar-based monomer 4-vinylbenzyl glycosylamide(VBG)was synthesized by 4-vinylbenzyl amine andδ-gluconolactone in DMF solution. The sugar-Based copolymer Poly(VBG-co-AM)were prepared by copolymerization of VBG and AM.The structure of VBG and the copolymer were confirmed by IR spectrum and 1H-NMR spectrum. The thermal stability of the copolymer was analyzed by TGA.The viscosity of these copolymer was studied. The sugar-based hydrogels Poly(VBG-co-AAG)were prepared by KPS and TMEDA as initiator in the presence of the crosslinking regent BisA.The effects of temperature, time,pH,protein concentration on swelling ratio(SR) of the hydrogel were studied. The SR of the hydrogel increased with the increasing of temperature and decreased at lower or higher pH.D-lactose acrylamide monomer(LAM)was synthesized by D-lactose and hydrazine hydrochloride. The sugar-based hydrogels Poly(LAM-co-AM)were prepared by copolymerization of LAM and AM,using KPS and TMEDA as initiator in the presence of the crosslinking regent BisA.The structure of the LAM monomer was confirmed by 1H-NMR spectrum. The thermal stability of the copolymer was analyzed by TGA.The effect of monomer concentration on reaction speed and conversation of the copolymerization and the element analysis of the hydrogel were studied. The swelling kinetecs fo the xerogel was detected and the data corresponded to a second-order kinetics.Sugar-based amphiphilic hydrogels were prepared by copolymerization of LAM and CM in the presence of BisA.The effects such as feeding ratio of LAM and CM,temperature, salt solution, anionic surfactants concentration on swelling ratio(SR)of the hydrogel were studied. The SR increased with the increasing of LAM concentration.Higher temperature and the salt solution could make the SR increase. The increasing of anionic surfactants concentration could make the SR ecrease.
