High voltage electric contact as the core component in high voltage switch equipments takes the effect of switch, contacting. It is wildly used in all kinds of load switch, SF6 circuit breaker, loaded switch, high capacity isolating switch and ground switch. As to the different materials of the integral electric contact that are the tungsten-copper alloy on arc-extinction and the copper alloy on conduction end, the friction welding as the core technique of processing method is adopted, so as to make the low cost and high performance, thus the large financial and social benefit are made by industrialization production. The working process of integral electric contact mentioned in the paper is a compound technique consisting metallurgy power technique, liquid-phase technique, non-ferrous metallurgy technique, heat treatment technique, special welding. It is characteristic of friction welding and the compound process is adopted to develop the product, It reaches the standard of GB8320-87(the electric contact technique condition of tungsten-copper and tungsten-silver), Comparing the process with liquid-phase sintering, the availability of material is increased by 20%, productivity is increased to 5-10 times than before. Production yield is increased by 3-4%. It makes dominant financial benefit. Moreover, the welding process is clean, smokeless, and no welding slag. the welding process is simple, it can save the materials and energy, has no any effect on environment, makes dominant social benefit. The performance effect from different granulometric composition to the arc-extinction on the tungsten-copper alloy is studied in the paper, the best granulometric composition has been reached by sieving. The welding research of different combination is carried out including the copper to copper, copper to chromium-copper, chromium-copper to chromium-copper, and copper to copper-tungsten, etc. and the conclusion that the transition layer is good to the welding process is proved. The 3D elastic-plastic deforming of the working process on the LW36-126 dynamic arc contact and static arc contact is simulated by using the ANSYS-LS/DYNA software. The rational compound surface is designed. The whole new process for producing the electric contact is offered by low lost in the paper. The findings of the process will promote the process improvement and the product renovation in the field of electric contact. It has great reference value to the design and development of the compound surface joint on the electric contact.
