With the advantages of fast measuring speed, high accuracy, non-contact, easy operation and automatic measuring, etc, the binocular stereo vision inspection technique play a significant role in many area as a new measuring method. Taking the application of the binocular stereo vision technique in the the geometric parameters measuring of spatial hole, we foucus on how to obtain the hole's center position and radius fleetly and accurately at lange-angle positon. We discussed some key problems including the influencing factors to the binocular stereo model for the spatial hole inspection, high precision circle edge detection and 3D circle fitting. The major content is as follows.1) Analysised the development of spatial hole inspection. Discussed the measurement problem of it, and the orientated the research dirction. 2) The mathematical model of 3D measurement for the binocular vision sensor is discussed. The effects of the baseline distance of the binocular vision sensor on the measuring accuracy are analyzed in details. The structure configuration of the binocular vions sensor is also introduced.3) Analysised the influence of common filters for the inspecton, and we bring forward a high accuracy image edge subpixels detection based on digital imagery, which is performed after edge orientation by the Canny.4) The perspective projection model of the circle in the 3D space is analyzed in details. Then we propose a 3D circle fitting method to solve the perspective projection error.5)Based the method we mentioned and crank fitting environments, we design a spatial hole high accuracy inspection instrument and its software. The test result shows that the methods for the hole inspection has sound accuracy and robost.
