With the developping of social economy, cities are getting larger and larger and refuse in cities in increasing quickly. As a result, the urban refuse is also increasing rapidly. Refuse in made up of complicated ingredients, such as organic and inorganic substances and salt with some harmful heavy metals. In the process of handling the refuse has polluted the earth surface and underground, the river system due to aversions fermenting, rain, surface running, immersing and vertical permeating. With the people's living level rising, the refuse contains much more organic ingredients than ever before. The poisonous of pollution has been doubled. The leachate has been changed greatly in nature with more complicated and interfered ingredients.Since the complex of the leachate there is not perfect technique all over the world till now. The common processes are biological treatment process and pHysical-chemical process. The biological process includes aerobic, anaerobic process and combination of both processes. The biological process is effective for the ammonia-nitrogen (NH4+-N) and easy-biodegraded leachate. Furthermore biological process can't lead to second pollution and has low cost. The pHysical-chemical process includes coagulation, deposition, adsorption, membrane, advance oxidation and so on. The pHysical-chemical process is not affected by the leachate quality and production. It is effective for the non-biodegraded leachate.This paper bases on province level project "DunHua landfill leachate theatment engineering. Proceed laboratory detection, and engineering design, install,adjustment and preoperation to the leachate which quantity is 100m3/d ,the primary reserch content is as follows:1)We proceed fieldwork and research to DunHua landfill leachate, and analyse the leachate's quality characteristic,incorporation material submitted from DunHua,proceed laboratory detection, select and discuss technic,and search the each several part of the technic optimum design and operating control parameter.2)After confirm technic's paticular parameter,complete the design, installation and adjustment of DunHua landfill leachate treatment, cultivatet activated sludge and monitored the whole sustem.3)Study the question which appear in the installation of this projectand give solutions,and supply the reference for the later engineering research.4 ) Study the feasibility after "biochemical method+ pHysical-chemical method"and recirculation theatment come true"zero discharge".Through 1.5 year completed design, operation drawing, installation and adjustment of the theatment. The conclusion has been generalized as following:First:Design part(2006.10-2007.04)Based on the foundation of study the advance treatment technic, incorporation the environmental climate characteristic of DunHua JiLin Province, practical situation of the landfill and the corralation technique material submitted from DunHua, confirmed the water quality condition and variation coefficient of influent and effluent. Confirmed "ammonia blow-off + first biological oxigation + hydrolytic acidification + second biological oxigation + coagulation-precipitition+ filtration+recirculation" technic.Second:Installation part(2007.05-2007.07)After confirmed the processing parameter, processed the major jar equipment according to the operation drawing, and stock other accessory from inland excellence manugacturer, completed the installation of the engineering of DunHua landfill leachate.Third:Adjustment part(2007.08-2007.11)This engineering's activated sludge was from Changchun West Sewage Plant, during adjustment process appeared coagulation effect not good ,part pipeline distortion and so on, after adjusted the system operated stable. The removal rate of COD, BOD, NH3-N, SS all come to the state second grade sewage discharge standard,the treatment effect all right. This engineering has been checked and acceptted by JiLin Province Enviromental Monitring Center.
