Mastery of NOx emission situation is the key to control NOx pollution of thermal power industry, but because of limitation of basic condition, the range of environment calculation doesn't contain NOx emitting amount and official amount isn't be promulgated.The calculation method of NOx emitting amount was constructed based on the real emitting level in typal thermal power plant after the research of others. The effects of coal quality,combustion system,unit capacity on the NOx formation were considered complexly to make sure the vary NOx emitting level under conditions of different unit in power industry. The estimation shows that in China in 2005,the total NOx emission of the thermal power plant was 6.85~7.95 Mt(million ton).Based on the NOx emission of 2005, future NOx emitting amount of 2010 is forecasted.The research of this paper has practical significance to the power industry NOx source census of China pollution source census,and also has practical significance to do macro-planning of SCR, revise the law on the Prevention and Control of Atmospheric Pollution or the standard specifies the allowable emission limits of air pollutants for thermal power plants, and choose the pollution control technologies for power industry.
