Capillary electrophoresis is a useful separation technology and has been applied to many fields, owing to its characteristics: high efficiency separation, high speed analysis, more manipulation mode and et al. The applications in analytical technology were studied in this dissertation. The dissertation includes six parts:Chapter 1: ReviewThe fundamental principle, characteristics and separation modes of capillary electrophoresis were introduced. And the applications and progress of capillary electrophoresis in analysis were summarized.Chapter 2: Study on the method for separation of Aromatic Acids by Capillary ElectrophoresisA novel method for separation of eight aromatic acids was developed in the paper. The running buffer was consisted of 10mmol/L tetraborate (pH10.0) and 10mmol/Lβ-CD. The applied voltage was 25kv and the detective wavelength was at 214nm. The eight aromatic acids were completely separated and determined within 9min. The linear relations were from 5 to 120μg/mL and their correlation coefficients (r) were between 0.9967 and 0.9992. The method was rapid, simple and effective. It has been applied for the determination of the content of benzoic acid and salicylic acid in zuguangsan with satisfactory result.Chapter 3: Separation and determination of VB1, VB2 and nicotinamide in the vitamin B tablet by capillary electrophoresisThe separation and determination of VB1, VB2 and nicotinamide in vitamin B tablet was presented with capillary electrophoresis in this paper. The effects of concentration, the pH of the running buffer and applied voltage were discussed. Under the optimal condition, the three vitamins were well separated and determined. Chapter 4: Determination of fenvalerate in vegetables by nonaqueous capillary eletrophoresisA simple and rapid method of nonaqueous capillary electrophoresis with UV detection for determination fenvalerate was developed. The effects of running buffer, the concentration of ammonium acetate, acetic acid and the applied voltage were investigated. The method was successfully applied to determine fenvalerate in vegetables with satisfactory result.Chapter 5: Separation of aminobenzoic acids by Gold Nanoparticles-modified Capillary ElectrophoresisA separation method for aminobenzoic acids by capillary electrophoresis was developed in this paper. The inner wall of capillary electrophoresis was modified with gold nanoparticles. It was found that the efficiency of the separation was enhanced and the electroosmotic flow changed as well after the capillary was modified. Under the optimization condition, separations were done in a buffer containing 5mmol/L phosphate and 0.236μmol/L gold nanoparticles, pH5.3. Linearity was established over the concentration range 0.5-40μg/mL, with correlation coefficients (r) ranging between 0.9978 and 0.9992. The detection limits (S/N=3) range were from 0.1 to 0.5μg/mL.Chapter 6: Determination of four cephalosporin antibiotics by Gold Nanoparticles-modified Capillary ElectrophoresisA new separation method for four cephalosporin antibiotics by capillary electrophoresis was developed firstly, In the experiment, the absorption spectrums of modified and unmodified quartz film were measured and compared. It was shown that there were modified nanoparticles on the surface of the capillary inner wall. The method was applied to determine the amount of the four drugs in human serum with satisfactory result.
