| Nanometer Ni(OH)2 were prepared by the buffer solution method with surfactant,the effects of the key factors in the preparation process(such as surfactant concentration,reaction temperature,the ratio of ammonia and nickel,drying temperature, aging time,pH value in the precipitation transformation stage,and so on)on the physical properties of materials were importantly examined.The samples were investigated by TEM,XRD,SEM,and stack density testing.Combing the characterization results,we further study the influence of preparation conditions on the properties of materials.The results show that:the Nanometer Ni(OH)2 withβphase and needle shape can be obtained by the buffer solution method with surfactant.The powder size and bulk density decreased with the increasing surfactant content,but they increase with pH of the solution. It is observed that both of them won't decrease monotonously with the increasing surfactant content,but first decrease then increase.We further observe that the bulk density reached the maximum when the ratio of ammonia and nickel was 0.6.we also find that if the reaction temperature is higeher and stiring strength is stronger,the bulk density of the samples will be bigger and if the aging time is longer,the spherical of samples will be better.In present paper,the prepared synthesized Nanometer Ni(OH)2 and the spherical shaped micro-Ni(OH)2 were mixed and make it into nickel electrode(nano mixed electrode),then we carry out the charge and discharge performance test.The results show that the discharge capability of the nano mixed Ni(OH)2 electrode is better than the spherical shapedelectrode.Meanwhile,the test on the charge and discharge performance of the doped nano mixed electrode is also performed.The results indicate that the electro properties of Nanometer Ni(OH)2 are worse.If the pure Nanometer Ni(OH)2 is doped with 6%of the micr-Ni(OH)2,we will obtain the maximum specific capacity of nickel electrode.When the pH value vary from 9.0 to 12.0,we find the specific capacity of the mixed powder was the largest at the Ph value is 10.5. |
