The research is based on the monitoring of the municipal wastewater treated in Xi'an Beishiqiao Wastewater Treatment Centre for the whole year, from 2005 to 2007, and totally analyzed 11 different kinds of endocrine-disrupting chemicals(EDC)in 3 categories.Distributions of different EDC and expose doses of different endocrine contaminants has been decided by the use of the four steps method published by National Research Council(1998)and assessed the health risk of contaminants. It is showed that the main part of endocrinological contaminants is the PAEs,in which most of it is dibutyl phthalate(DBP)and dioctyl phthalate comes after it.The concentration of dicyclehexyl phthalate(DCHP)and diethyl phthalate are lower than others. In the pollution of endocrine compounds, the estradiol-17β(E2)and estriol(E3) take the most parts of contamination. The concentration rage of chlorophenolic compounds has the lowest level. The expose way of in water body is through two ways of oral taking of fish and grain. The intake of grain should be more focused on for the accumulation of the EDC in grains is more serious than other parts of plant. As for the result caused by the direct pollution of municipal wastewater, the daily expose amount of BPA and DCP is higher than others. The daily expose amount of BPA has been decreased by 1/2 after treated by the biology second treatment. The daily expose amount after dealing with ozone disinfection has been reached to a lower level. It is regarded that reduction of expose amount of 03-BAC is the best way to reduce the expose of EDC.In the water body affected by the municipal wastewater, the health risk of DCP has reached the human acceptable risk level. It should pay more attention on the reduction of it.The enhanced primary treatment is not suggested to be used in the reduction of the health risk of EDC.And the use of the advanced treatment of BAC to wastewater takes the best effect than the other ways.
