Studies On Extraction, Purification And Characterization Of Diosgenin From Dioscorea Zingiberensis And Diocorea Nipponica Makino

As the main active ingredient of D.zingiberensis and D. nipponicaMakino wright, diosgenin is the important raw material for the synthesis of steroid body hormone medicine and steroid body contraceptive medicine.The method of acid hydrolysis for extracting diosgenin from D.zingberensis and D. nipponicaMakino was studied with orthogonal tests.The experimental results show that the raffinate of diosgenin is improved. In addition, the products were analyzed by a series of UV-V (ultraviolet-visible) and infrared spectrum analysis of diosgenin were fulfilled and it could be concluded that the diosgenin from Dioscorea zingiberensis and Diocorea nipponicaMakino has the same structure as standard's.
