A new piezoelectric composite was prepared. As acrylonitrile butadiene rubber was matrix, lead magnesio-niobate piezoelectric ceramic powder was function phase and carbon black was electric-conducting phase. In the paper, the influence of the piezoelectric ceramic, carbon black, coupling agent, polarizing process and molding technique on the piezoelectric and dielectric properties of piezoelectric composites were investigated. Besides, Endurance of piezoelectric composites properties was studied and the influence of piezoelectric ceramic, polarizing process and molding technique on endurance were also investigated.The piezoelectric and dielectric properties of composites increased with the increasing of PMN volume fraction. With the increasing of PMN particle size, the piezoelectric constant increased and the dielectric constant decreased.Appropriate CB in composite can improve the piezoelectric and dielectric properties. The composite was easily breakdown with the increasing of CB. In the paper, we chose 6% as the volume fraction of CB.The interface of composite was good by Silicone coupling agent. The breakdown voltage, piezoelectric constant and dielectric constant increased, but it had no influence on dielectric loss.It is founded that the dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the composite highly depended on the polarizing temperature, time and voltage. Appropriate polarizing time was 30min, polarizing temperature was 80℃and polarizing voltage was 80% of the breakdown voltage.The molding technique has much influence on the piezoelectric and dielectric properties of the composite. And the composite prepared by cold-pressing has higher piezoelectric and dielectric properties than that of hot-pressing.The composite with heat treatment was more homogeneous, and increased the piezoelectric properties. But it has no influence on the dielectric properties.The properties of piezoelectric composite reduce with the time. The result showed that with the increasing of PMN, polarizing temperature, polarizing time and polarizing voltage, Endurance of piezoelectric composite properties increased. The molding technique has on influence on endurance of composite.
