Two kinds of PA6 whose viscosities were different were choosed to blend with PS and SEBS-g-MA. The morphologies, dynamic rheological behavbior, non-isothermal crystallization kinetics, skin core crystalline structure and mechanical properties of the blends were studied, and the relation between the morphologies and dynamic rheological behavbior was discussed , and the influence of morphologies and skin core crystalline structure on the mechanical properties of the blends was also discussed. The volume ratio of the blend components was the main factors which affect the morphologies of PS/PA6 and their blends compatibilized by SEBS-g-MA, and the morphologies of the blends were also affected by viscoelastic properties and so on.The complex viscosity (η~*) and the storage modulus (G') of the blends increased with increasing content of SEBS-g-MA of the blends . The G' appeared terminal shoulder-like trend and the G' of blends was higher than that of components at low cos. The G" of the blends increasing the SEBS-g-MA content showed higher values than those of their components at lowωs.The SEBS-g-MA had effects of heterogeneous nucleation on the crystallization of PA6 of the blends. The injection molding samples showed that the crystallization of PA6 appeared obvious skin core structure. The SEBS-g-MA have both toughening and compatibilizing effects on the blends. The charpy notched impact strength and extension percentage at break of the blends increased with increasing the content of SEBS-g-MA, while the tensile strength of the blends decreased. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Polystyrene, Polyamide 6, co-continuous morphologies, dynamic rheological behavbior, non-isothermal crystallization, toughening | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
