The sharply cooling curtain of tunnel kiln is at the beginning of the cooling section.It's main function is to cool the hign temperature and prevent the smoke of firing section to the cooling section.Reseaching the construction of the cooling curtain can enhance the quality of the product and provide the theoretic foundation for the kiln's run and construction optimizing.Bying using the computer numerical simulation and the standardκ-εmodel of a CFD software,referring to the thermodynamic data of the sharply cooling curtain of a tunnel kiln,we simulate the velocity and temperature distribution by three dimension,research the effect of the inlet nozzle's location,method,number and jet velocity on the airflow and diathermancy.The caculation indicates:It's benefit for cooling product when the upper and lower nozzles are close to the kiln ceiling and the kiln car's table-board respectively. The airflow velocity is slow and the temperature is uneven while the lower nozzle is in the middle of the fire channel and the upper nozzle in the middle between the kiln ceiling and product.The numbe of nozzle should be appropriate instead of too many.In condition that the total flow and jet velocity is constant,decreasing the nozzle's radius and increasing the jet velocity,the gas's velocity gradually decreases and the product's cooling efficiency is lower.It's different whether the upper and lower nozzle are symmetrically installed or not.The nozzles' symmetrical installation is beneficial for production cooling.Increasing the jet velocity and decreasing nozzle's radirus can enhance the gas's velocity and product cooling efficiency.But the gas's temperature and velocity is invariable when the jet velocity is increased a certain value.
