Underground water in the fracture has been imperiled by serious pollution, such as the leakage caused by nuclear waste disposal, landfill leachate, sea water intrusion and oil pipeline aging. The questions about environment, tying up to people's life, need to make research urgently on the transport mechanism of water and solute in fractured medium. Actually, the fracture network is the main approach of solute transport in the fracture network by seepage flow and concentration grads, then effects the water environment in the aquiferous medium.Based on the understanding and summarization of the development process and actuality, the research of solute transport in fracture rock mass has been carried on by discrecte fracture network method. The main researches as follows:1,The mathematical models of solute transport have been researched detailedly, the traits and applicabilities have been summarized roundly, and been analyzed and matched seriously,too.2,The mathematical model has been established, which refering to the seepage thoery and mathematical model, in addition, based on the conservation of discharge and the test in single fracture, the numerical solution has been received.3,On the basis of the 2-D seepge program and the mathematical model, the numerical simulation programs have been built by FORTRAN. The statistic characters of strike, trace length, space and aperture, which can be used to create fracture network system by Monte-Carlo method. The feasibility and correctness could be validated by initial conditions and boundary conditions.4,The thoery and mathematical model are applied to model the solute transport in the dam area of a high dam. The 2-D solute transport programs are uesed for practical Engineering in the cases of steady flow and unsteady flow. The results can provide thoery fundament with pollution resource management.
