This thesis contains mainly the design and synthesis of chiral ionic liquids from tartaric acid and its derivative and their application in the asymmetric hydrogenation of methyl acetoacetate. The effects of chiral ionic liquids and ionic salts on this reaction have been discussed. The possible cause has been given after the study. The following parts are included.1. Corresponding induction of ionic liquids, chiral ionic liquids and the asymmetric hydrogenation of methyl acetoacetateThis part shows the eminent physical and chemical properties of ionic liquids, the varying of the counter ion and their recycle. The interest in using ionic liquids as solvents for organic synthesis has increased dramatically. The concept of chiral ionic liquids, the usual preparations of ionic liquids and the applied reactions have been described. The reaction of the asymmetric hydrogenation of methyl acetoacetate has been given corresponding induction. The part also shows the ideas of this thesis.2. The design and preparation of chiral ionic liquidsAccording to the reaction of the asymmetric hydrogenation of methyl acetoacetate and the varying of the anion and cation, the design of chiral ionic liquids has been showed. The preparations of these chiral ionic liquids and ionic salts were detailed illustrated. 3. The chiral ionic liquids' applications in the asymmetric hydrogenation of methyl acetoacetateThe preparation of the improved Raney-nickel and the optimal reaction conditions of the asymmetric hydrogenation of methyl acetoacetate was described. With optimized conditions, we then applied synthesized chiral ionic liquids and ionic salts having different the anion and cation to this reaction. According to the results, the possible cause has been given after the study.
