Research On Environmental Supporting Capacity And Pressure Of Sichuan Province

The increasingly serious environmental pollution problems become a fearful threat to humanity's survival.It has aroused the rethinking of environmental problems that the research of environmental pressure and environmental supporting capacity becomes a new studying focus.Regional environmental supporting capacity is not only one of the connection and intermediary of human activities and natural environment,but also is the bridge for the coordinated development of human activities and natural environment.Coordinative research of environmental pressure and environmental supporting capacity is the precondition of regional environmental planning and the coordinated development of regional society, economy and environment.Therefore,the importance is self-evident.On the basis of the fundamental study of environmental supporting capacity and environmental pressure,the main research work is finished as follow:1.The current status analysis about the environmental supporting capacity and environmental pressure existing in Sichuan province in this dissertation suggests that the current environmental pressure of Sichuan is relatively high and some of the area have surpassed their environmental supporting capacity. Upon reaching the control index of total amount of pollutant in the "Eleventh Five-Year-Plan",the main pollutant in Sichuan province as Chemical Oxygen Demand(COD),ammonia-nitrogen(NH₃-N)and sulfur dioxide(SO₂)should reduce 392,000 tons,44,000 tons and 156,000 tons separately accompanied with the investment of 20.7 billion Yuan per year for the environmental treatment.2.The relationship between the environmental protection treatment investment and GDP increasing rate is analyzed in the article.And according the social and economic developing trend of Sichuan province,the environmental pressure of Sichuan province is predicted and digitalized among the different environmental protection treatment investment economic index.So it concludes that environmental pressure of Sichuan province will be increased with the social development and economic booming during the "Twelfth Five-Year-Plan" period which corresponding treatment cost will increase too.Conceived the three scenes of the GDP of 3%,9%and 13.5%, the required increasing treatment costs are 2.27 billion Yuan,5.49 billion Yuan and 8.42 billion Yuan per year,separately.And furthermore,among the wastewater,exhaust gas and solid waste,the treatment cost of wastewater is the highest,and next is exhaust gas.3.After anglicized the environmental pressure and regional differences of environmental protection investment of Sichuan province,it draws the conclusion that the difference turns great.Among the five economic zones, newly increased environmental pressure and environmental protection investment of Chengdu economic zone is the largest,while northwest economic zone is the smallest.4.During the "Twelfth Five-Year-Plan",the maximum impact strength of environmental pressure of Sichuan is 0.0115,and the differences among the five economic zones are obvious.
