In recent years, many research projects focus on development of conducting polymer. It has been investigated by scientists all over the world because of its many applications. Polythiophene(PTh) and its derivatives can be exploited in various application among many conjugative polymers, Because of their good electrical properties, environmental stability, excellent conductivity and easy preparation. In this paper, the new fluorescent compound N-(3-Thienylmethyl)-1,8-naphthalim -ide and 4-bromo-N-(3-Thienylmethyl)-1,8-naphthalimide were synthesized from 1,8- naphthalic anhydride, 4-bromo-1,8-naphthalic anhydride and 3-thienyl bromide; The new fluorescent conducting poly[3-(N-(1,8-naphthalimide)methyl)thiophene] and poly[3-(N-(4-bromo-1,8-naphthalimide)methyl)thiophene] were synthesized with oxidant of FeCl3. The doping polymers were prepared by doped with HCl and HClO4 respectively.The structures of the monomer was characterized by IR spectra, H1-NMR and single-crystal X-ray diffraction; The conductivities of the doping conducting polymers were mensurated, And the characterizations of the polymers were studied by IR, UV-Vis, Fluorescence Spectra, XRD, SEM and so on.The result of study showed that the new poly[3-(N-(1,8-naphthalimide)methyl)thi -ophene] and poly[3-(N-(4-bromo-1,8-naphthalimide)methyl)thiophene] noy only hav -e the conductivity but also have good fluorescence, average particle size, compact structure and good crystallinity.
