The dried roots of Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc is a well-known traditional drug in China. It has the eliminating windelieve damp elimination,eliminating stasis to activate blood circulationanalgesic therapy,cough and reduce sputum effect . In recent years, stilbene-resveratrol is attentioned widely, because which has much biological activity. Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc has the most resveratrol in many other plants,we decide to study it. For better use of Polygonum cuspidatum, it is importance to study its extraction and purification.The white sample product is extracted from Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc by macroporous adsorptive resin and aluminum oxide column. The structure of it was elucidated by analyses of spectra and comparation with published data. We assured that the white sample was piceid . Preparative method of the piceid was established by optimizing the experiment conditions. And we studied the extractive of Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc by means of acidolysis.Study on the fermentation technique of Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc and the fermentation technique was optimized . The results showed that Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc was fermentated 8 days in pH 7.0 buffer containing substrate at 28℃.And the proportion relationship of bacterium , medicinal substances and water was sured, which was 1: 5: 10. In industry, the result could be used .Study on the extraction techniques of Polygonum cuspidatum Sieb. et Zucc which was fermented. Preparative method of resveratrol was established by optimizing the experiment conditions. Resveratrol with 98% purity coefficient was obtained from Polygonum cuspedatum Sieblet Zucc which was fermented .The content of resveratrol in the native plant was measured with HPLC and the technology consideration was also carried out.
