In this paper, a series of nitrofullerene derivatives were synthesized with amino acids, nitrobenzaldehydes and fullerene as primary substances. The reaction conditions affecting the yields of products were investigated, and the optimum synthetic technology conditions and the purification technologies of products were obtained. The structures of products were characterized by UV-vis, FT-IR, 13C NMR, 1H NMR and MS. It was proved that the obtained products were the aim compounds. The reaction mechanism of the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions of fullerene were calculated by semi-empirical PM3 method, and the results suggested that the synthesis routes were feasible in theory. The thermal stability of products were studied by DTA and DSC-TG. The results showed that they all had a good thermal stability, and the decomposed peak temperatures in the air all exceeded 350 oC. The mechanical sensitivity and friction sensitivity of products on HMX were also studied. It were proved that fullerene and the four selected products all desensitized HMX in different extent, and the crystal forms of fullerene had some effect to the desensitization of HMX.
