| Urban Heat Islands(UHI) is the typical phenomena of urban climate, which is the result of urbanization. In this study, the weather data from 1960 to 2004 were used to analyze the temporal changes of the intensity of UHI in Changchun. The conclusion is that the intensity of UHI in Changchun has rapid increased from 1998 to 2004 and the average rate is 0.15℃per year. The seasonal intensity of UHI in Changchun has the same pace with the average one. The intensity of UHI in winter is the strongest. The intensity in autumn is weaker than the one in winter but stronger than the one in spring. The intensity in summer is the weakest. The average intensity of UHI in winter is 0.74℃, the one in autumn is 0.35℃,the one in spring is 0.17℃and the one in summer is 0.05℃. Winter has the most contribution to UHI in Changchun. The intensity of UHI in Changchun has a significant seasonal change during the daytime and night. And the intensity in daytime is weaker than the one at night. The Landsat ETM+ imagine were also used to analyze the spatial distribution of UHI in Changchun. The land surface temperature in Changchun was retrieved from Landsat ETM+ imagine. The conclusion is that the UHI effect in Changchun is very evident. The land surface temperature in urban built-up area is higher than the temperature in the suburb. And the forest park in Jin Yue and beauty spot in Diao Shui Tan are the cold inlands. The industry estate in the north of Er Dao district is the center of UHI in urban built-up area. So are the industry estates in the Kuan Cheng district and near the first automobile factory. The Nan Hu park is the center of low temperature area. The temperature of Yi Tong River is also lower than the nearby area. It was found that correlations between NDVI, NDWI and temperature are negative when NDVI is limited in range, but positive correlation is shown between NDBI, NDBaI and temperature. |
