Lewis acid-catalyzed Mannich reactions and IAD reactions were studied in this thesis, which is composed with three parts as follows:1. Mannich reactions of acetophenone, aromatic aldehydes and aromatic amines was effectively catalyzed by YbCl3 affordingβ-amino ketones in good to excellent yields under mild conditions.2. I2 was found to be a simple and efficient catalyst for the three-component reaction of isocyanate,α,β-unsaturated aldehydes and dienophiles (IAD) to afford amino-substituted cyclohexenes in good to excellent yields.3. The one-pot reaction of o-aminophenol,α,β-unsaturated ketones and phosphites catalyzed by ytterbium chlorides (YbCl3) was studied.
