Phase relations in the Dy-Fe-Ge ternary system at 773K, 1073K, and the Solid phase relationships of DyFezGe2(z=0-4) in the system have beeninvestigated in this work. The main contents of them were related as followed:1. The isothermal section of Dy-Fe-Ge ternary system at 773KThe phase relationships in the Dy-Fe-Ge ternary system at 773K have been investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction. The existence of 16 binary compounds Dy5Ge3, Dy5Ge4, DyGe, Dy2Ge3, Dy3Ge5,DyGe2, DyGe3, DyFe2, DyFe3, Dyv6Fe23, Dy2Fe17, Fe3Ge, Fe5Ge3, Fe6Ge5, FeGe and FeGe2, and five ternary compounds DyFe4Ge2, DyFe2Ge2, DyFe6Ge6, Dy5Fe2Ge10 and Dy117Fe52Ge112 were confirmed. There are 24 single-phase regions, 51 two-phase regions and 27 three-phase regions in this 773K isothermal section. A solid solution of Dy5Fe2Ge10was found. The solid solubility range of Fe in Dy5Fe2Ge10 is 7.7-14.3 at. %. No new ternary compound was found.2. the Solid phase relationships of DyFezGe2(z=0 - 4) in the Dy-Fe-Ge systemThe Solid phase relationships of DyFevzGe2(z=0-4) in the Dy-Fe-Gesystem was investigated by X-ray diffraction and differential thermal analysis. There are four compounds DyGe2, DyFe4Ge2, DyFe2Ge2 and Dy5Fe2Ge10 in the line of Dy:Ge=1:2. In our work, it was concluded that from DyGe2 to DyFe4Ge2 (from 0 to 57.1 Fe at.%) there is no phase transition below 1173K.3. The isothermal section of Dy-Fe-Ge ternary system at 1073KThe phase relationships in the Dy-Fe-Ge ternary system at 1073K have been investigated by means of X-ray powder diffraction. The existence of 14 binary compounds Dy5Ge3,Dy5Ge4,DyGe,Dy3Ge4, Dy2Ge3, Dy3Ge5,DyGe2,DyGe3, Dy6Fe23, Dy2Fe17, Fe3Ge, Fe5Ge3, Fe1.4Ge and FeGe2, and fiveternary compounds DyFe4Ge2, DyFe2Ge2, DyFe6Ge6, Dy5Fe2Ge10 and Dy117Fe52Ge112 were confirmed. There are 22 single-phase regions, 47 two-phase regions and 25 three-phase regions in this 1073K isothermal section. A solid solution of Dy5Fe2Ge10was found. No new ternary compound was found.
