Recently, the glass mould industry has rapid development, The life span problem of glass mould has become the focus of study for numerous scientific research institutes. Based the collection of literature data related and reading, the paper analyzed the various types of glass mould material and their composition, some function of cast iron, such as mechanical properties,oxidation resistance,fatigue resistance,anti-growth and bear to whet had been summaried. a few kinds glass mould material which have special function had been analyzed in detail. By means of experiment, the material of glass mould between original and micro alloying has been analyzed. the back fire hardness,microstructure,oxidation resistance has been measured. At the same time, the failure causes and forms of Huainan mould has been analyzed in this paper. According to work condition of glass mould, In theory, the life of glass mould can be raised when the material of glass mould have a series of features: the D-type graphite layer of fine-grained listed in internal cavity, the other part have compacted and flake graphite. The process obtained D-type graphite has been discussed from cast process in this paper. The small D-type graphite can be obtained when thrills are put in the core of cavity; therefore, the performance of key parts of mould can be ensured.The experiment method and experiment theory which was used in the experiment has been introduced in this paper. The attention in the experiment process has been pointed out. The question which should be thought out has been brought forward.The technology of ladle micro alloying for glass mould material has been made an exploratory research in this paper, the graphite shape,matrix,eutectic colony,rigidity and oxidation resistance properties of it has been compared between original and micro alloying; the shape of graphite has been improved, the number of pearlite and eutectic colony in matrix structure increased obviously and the slice space of them declined distinctly, when the glass mould material has been treated with ladle micro alloying; at the same time, the carbonization has been formed, the stability of heat-resistant atoms has been advanced; As a result, the rigidity of glass mould material has been enhanced and the oxidation resistance properties has been made better than before; The result of industrial experiment indicated the life of mould had been heightened evidently.The results show that the property of CrMoCu glass mould materials is more better than Huainan's property. The method of ladle micro alloying for improving glass mould material property is effective.
