In resent years, much attention has been paid to the design, synthesis, crystal structures and properties of coordination polymers. And the design and synthesis of novel metal-organic coordination polymers based on carboxylate ligands have attracted considerable interest for its various modes, such as monodentate, chelating bidentate and bridging multidentate. Therefore the hybrid complexes will have potential applications in catalysis, medicine, smart opto-electronic, magnetic and porous materials. In this paper, a novel lanthanon-organic hybrid compounds were synthesized by selecting organic ligands including phenanthroline and 2,2'-bipyridyl-3,3'-dicarboxlate acid and lanthanon through solvothermal reaction.Besides , we also did many practical experiments on the following fators of mole ratio of reactants, the pH value , the reaction temperature and solvent to determinate the optimum conditions. It was also taken by some measurements like IR analysis, EDS analysis and so on. X-ray single crystal structure determination reveals the crystal sturcture was triclinic and belonged to space group P-1 with a=10.632(2)(?), b=11.193(2)(?), c=13.758(3)/(?); a= 110.52(3)(?),β=100.25(3)(?),γ=108.23(3)(?); V= 1378.2(5)(?)3, Z=2, Dc = 1.683 mg/m3,μ=1.608 mm-1,F(000)= 690; R1 =0.0477, wR2 =0.0767。From thermal stability, UV-Vis-NIR reflectance spectra and fluorescence spectra, it's found the compound could exist under 166℃. Although the complex belongs to the nonconductor, it have certain fluorescence.
