With the rapid development of the national economy, the power industry also gained quick development. Since the gases discharged by thermal power plants contain a great deal of Nitrogen Oxides.NOx, which would bring sever negative effects to our environment not treated properly. Therefore it is imperative that we should adopt adequate measures to control the emission of NOx. This thesis is going to introduce the current situation of the emission of NOx both domestic and overseas, as well as technology on how to control it, and will put emphasis on the method of choosing Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) to remove NOx and application situation of the technology as well as its mechanism. This expertment study the core catalyst of SCR, then developed V2O5-WO3-MoO3/TiO2 catalysts, and explored all sorts of preparation methods. According to different V2O5-WO3-MoO3/TiO-2 catalysts catalyst developed by component and proportion, the physical-chemical characteristics of the catalyst were determined by Field Emission Scanning Electronic Microscope (FESM) and X-RAY Diffractometer(XRD), and the catalytic activity of each catalyst was investigated in a small SCR experiment system. With the characterization results, This arctle analyzed the active components in the catalyst and the consequent effects caused by variation of additives, and then found that the optimal value of active ratio among all components respectively is V2O5:WO3:MoO3:TiO2=2:15:24:100 and 3:15:30:100.Also this expertment studied some other outer factors that may exert effects on the catalyst activity, such as temperature, space velocity, oxygen concentration, the initial concentration of NO. When the space velocity concentrationwas minished or the input ratio, O2concentration and NO initial increased, the NO conversion would be enhanced.
