The force and temperature through ceramic grinding induce the changing of surface mechanics performance, which can play an important role on the fatigue, fracture strength, surface hardness and wear resistance of the component, and it is one of the important reasons to bring microcracks and crack area. In this paper surface mechanics performance of ceramics had been studied systematically. The computer technology was been used to deal with the image of the ceramics surface in order to analyse the damnification through the grinding process.Firstly, the two factor of the surface integrity the surface mechanics performance and surface figure were systematically studied. Then we designed the experiment of the grinding process condition to get the Si3N4,ZrO2 and Al2O3 surface after the processing with different condition. To get the value of the hardness and the rupture toughness through the pressure trace method. The principle of grain cutting depth was applied to combine all of the conditions to evaluate the surface mechanics performance after grinding, we also knew the hardness and the rupture toughness changing trend and the conception of the critical grain cutting depth through the experiment. In addition, this study also aimed to analyze and deal with the image with the digital image technology, and the image was gotten from the ground surface of the ceramic. The damage could be classified and detected on the ceramics surface with the digital image technology and the crack damage could be reflected. The morphologic thinning algorithm was used to detect the profile and edge of the image, and we also could detect the particular of the crack damage, found method to classify the form of the crack damage, such as microcosmic crack damage and crash holes which was done by the grinding force. One physical quantity, of crack degree, was proposed for quantitatively estimating the grinding surface damage.
