Lanthanum Carbonate ( La2(CO3)3 ) is a novel phosphate binding raw drug with high-efficiency, It provides a best choice by the virtue of activity more quickly, more total binding quantity with phosphate,lower body storage, no complications. At present, Hyperphosphataemia is usually treated by means of eating calcium containing phosphate binders or aluminium-based phosphate binders. The above traditional two kinds of binders have severe side effects due to calcium and aluminium absorption by tissue. So Lanthanum Carbonate is potential to replace the calcium-containing phosphate binders and aluminium– based phosphate binders. In order to enhance the ability of phosphate binders, we create a new idea to make it to be nano morphology. The research papers about phosphate binding ability of Lanthanum Carbonate and the preparation of nano Lanthanum Carbonate is seldom reported, no to mention the researching report regarding to nano Lanthanum Carbonate as a phosphate binder. In this paper, we study the preparation of nano Lanthanum Carbonate, the influence factors related to the phosphate binder of nano Lanthanum Carbonate. We optimize the preparation method of nano Lanthanum Carbonate and study the phosphate binding mechanism. We have prepared a new pH-dependent and controlled released drug by coating the nano Lanthanum Carbonate with Chiosan(CS) and Eudragit.We study the influence factors like stir, temperature, polymer and ethanol by sedimentation test, and find that by using PVP as dispersant and ethanol-water mix solvent as the media, we can obtain Lanthanum Carbonate nanosheet. The nanosheet is charactered with SEM TEM IR and XRD.We prepare La2(CO3)3 nanosheet with different crystalline water, and find that the La2(CO3)3 nanosheet with 4 crystalled water have the best effect.Besides, we also prepare a new pH-dependent nanosheet by coating the nano sheet with CS and Eudragit.
