Coke plant wastewater is a kind of intractable waste water which is from the process of making coke, purifying coal gas and recovering the coke products.Components are complex in coke plant wastewater, in which contain high concentration of ammonia-nitrogen and a number of toxic and difficult decompounded organic compounds. Great changes usually happened to the quality of water and the flow of water. Conventional coke plant wastewater treatment processes adopted activated sludge method, though which the removal of COD and ammonia-nitrogen were dissatisfied and the effluent concentration couldn't attain the standards of draining wastewater. These brought severe harm to our environment and the health of human.Erobic fluidized bed that added a new biofilm carrie was used to treat High Consistency Coking Waste Water. The reactor was inoculated with sludge comes form a coke plant and the new biofilm carrie.After cultivated for 25 days ,when the normal running of reactor, the biomass concentration reached 4.196 gMLVSS/L. Watch by microscope, some protozoan and metazoan such as rotifers on the aerobic biological membrane were found. Influent COD,NH3-N, volatile phenols and total phenols are 3000,4060,100 and 130mg/L, Removal rate of COD about 80%; Removal rate of NH3-N and volatile phenols are chose to 100%; Removal rate total phenols is upwards 95%.the effect of HRT, DO concentration,and pH on the COD and NH3-N removal efficiency and nitrite accumulation rate was investigated respectively.The Tolerance Ability of the biomembrane to COD load was also surveyed .Then, technological parameters'Distinctiveness were surveyed by Orthogonal experiment in the reactor.the Determination of technological parameters are as follow Influent COD is 25003000mg/L,pH is 7.58,DO concentration is 25mg/L. degradation kinetics of COD was Prelimenary studied , the calculating result indicated that degradation of COD is approximate first class response. Saturation constant Ksand Maximum Reaction Rate Vmax were calculated, Ks is 5473.22mg/L, Vmax is 0.1375h-1.SND effect of the reactor was studied when the NH3-N load was higher as before. the effect of DO COD/NH3-N and so on on the SND effect were surveyed. Experimental results showed that, when Influent NH3-N was 100200 and Influent TN was 150250mg/L, Removal rate of TN was about 50%, when the reaction conditions were controlled strictly as follows:DO concentration 2.53.5mg/L, COD/NH3-N at above 10. By two-stage fluidized bed'running,when Influent COD was about 3000mg/L, Influent NH3-N was 150mg/L, the effluent COD was up to standard,and Removal rate of TN was about 80%.Pilot-testing that the new biofilm carrie was used was also studied , Experimental results showed that, by two-stage fluidized bed running, when HRT was 20h,could got Effective treatment,when Influent COD was about 3000mg/L, Influent NH3-N was 60100mg/L and Influent volatile phenols was 600mg/L.The Removal rates was about 97%,99% and 75%...
