In the production of crude oil in China, the high viscosity oil occupies a certain proportion. The high capacity of the wax, large viscosity and poor fluidity of the crude oil bring difficulties to the exploitation and the gathering transportation. We must make use of some physical or chemical method to reduce its viscosity. The magnetic technology has been promoted and applied in some oil field due to its less investment, high efficiency, with convenience of installment and maintains. At present the magnetic field adopted by majority at home and abroad is produced by the permanent magnetic field, which will be aging and demagnetized after a long time in using. We researched the efficiency of viscosity reduction reduced by frequency conversion in room, and analyzed the relationship between the effect of magnetic processing and the temperature of the crude oil , magnetic field wave, frequency of the magnetic field and the processing time. The results showed that it has different effect in viscosity reduction at different temperature, and there exists a best magnetic temperature for crude oil which has different compositions and the wave of the frequency conversion magnetic field has hardly any effect on the viscosity reduction. If the frequency of magnetic field is among 1200Hz to 2500Hz, there has a perfect effect on the viscosity reduction for the samples in the experiment, and the value of viscosity changes with the compositions and temperature of the sample. It takes 40'to get the best viscosity reduction for the crude oil among the best magnetic processing temperature and frequency rang. The effect of viscosity reduction of the crude oil will diminish as the time goes by after the magnetic processing, after 4 hours it will return to the value which is unprocessed. Also we probe into the microcosmic mechanism of viscosity reduction using frequency-conversion magnetic field upon the departed theory with the laboratory experiment, which can supply a new technique and academic according for viscosity reduction of the crude oil in the oil field.
