The aim of this research was to purify pollutants-receiving ponds and to improve water quality by directly using cultured microorganisms.Following results were obtained:1.After the inoculation, the smell of the North -lake had been gradually reduced and eventually disappeared after a fifteen-day treatment and the water became much clearer compared to the original. After the treatment of 75 days, the sum of TP reduced from 0.82 mg/L to 0.085 mg/L,with the removing rate of 83.11%.The average quantity of TN decreased from 2.678 mg/L to 1.321 mg/L,with the removing rate of 50.67%.The removing rate of CODMn could reach 29.5%.2.By treatment of the microorganism, the scenic water quality of the Grandeur Garden which is fully made up of reclaimed wastewater has been greatly improved after one month. The TP removing rate get 10.67%-26.25%,with the TP decreased from 0.75-0.91 mg/L to 0.59-0.74 mg/L.The TN removng rate arrived at 34.80%-79.92%, with the TN declined from 5.58-9.86 mg/L to 1.93-3.86 mg/L.The CODMn removng rate finally arrived at 59.13%-68.71%,with the CODMn declined from 32.00-40.00 mg/L to 10.95-13.84 mg/L.The transparency of the water has been increased from 9-20 cm to 41-62 cm after the treatment. The water has completely get out of stink.3.After treatment of the polluted floating water -Qing Ling River by 75 days, the average quantity of TP decreased from 0.85-1.77 mg/L to 0.36-0.38 mg/L.The average TN declined from 15.76-25.80 mg/L to 8.5-9.7 mg/L.The average CODMn declined from 26.50-47.27 mg/L to 12.00-13.20 mg/L.It proved that microbial technology took effect rapidly in the treatment of eutrophic scenic water. It cost little and also was operated conveniently. This technology must be applied abroad in the near future.
