The forming mechanics of the spiral surface are different, and the molded lines of the screw are complex and diverse, that make it difficult to machining of the spiral surface screw. The spiral surface screw are usually kernel parts in machine products of the screw. It require that its have higher accuracy. Now the precision work's method of the spiral surface screw is polishing in our country, this processing method make the screw's roughness isn't meeting the requirements of the workpieces. Which are greatly reduce the use effectiveness of the screw machine products. This paper aims at the complexity and multiplicity change of the screw's molded lines , researching the screw's character and envelop, combine with a non-conventional grinding technology - abrasive belt grinding, proposing an efficient, economic and practical screw polishing technology - NC polishing technology of spiral surface screw, the processing methods can be effective not only improve the quality of the processing screw, but also improve the processing efficiency.On the base of deeply studying and summarizing the processing method and step of the spiral surface, this paper determined the method and step of the spiral curved surface's processing cutter'a space pathway by using the envelope.researching the combination of the NC machining method of the spiral surface and abrasive belt polishing , bring forward the new processing approach about NC polishing of the spiral surface . Designing the grinding head assembly after realizing the workece's surface pathway, researching the NC polishing course of the spiral surface screw, designing a reasonable processing technic of polishing ,and optimization design the parameters of the abrasive belt grinding . Carry through the prophase's theory prepare about designing the device of the screw profile laser detection after NC polishing the spiral surface screw. and utilize the C++BULIDER programming language, CAD/CAM software to realize the above algorithm and the simulation processing interface.The project took the combination of NC processing technic about the spiral surface and abrasive belt grinding technic and laser detection technic, bring forward and principle of the new NC polishing method through researching the technique and the fundamentals of the spiral surface NC polishing , and further expansion the polishing method of the spiral surface .The research have completed the machine design of the spiral surface NC polishing and the theory preparation about the device of laser detection .which have provided the theoretical preparations and experience foundation for the spiral surface's polishing processing and on-line detection and relevant NC machine's trituration . To enhance our country's finishing machining of the spiral surface screw and on-line detection technology, it will play a positive role for developing the national economy .It has practical and theory signification.
