Microcellular foam Polypropylene has advantages of light mass and high impact toughness, but its strength and rigidity is not enough in practical application. According to above characteristics, this essay mainly researches filling and strengthening of microcellular foamed Polypropylene. Through filling two kinds of Micro-fine mica powder with different particle diameter, filling two kinds of glass fiber with different aspect ratio, and comparing comprehensive mechanical property and foam result of filler/micro-foam polypropylene, this essay studies the effects of fillers on micro-foamed polypropylene.While filling microcellular-foam polypropylene with Micro-fine mica powder of 1250 mesh and 6250 mesh, pore distribution is even, pore diameter is 20~40μm approximately, Micro-fine mica powder's orientation is almost the same, and its distribution is homogeneous. The strengthening effect of modified mica powder is better than un-modified mica powder, tensile strength and bending strength improves obviously, especially bending strength.While filling microcellular-foam polypropylene with glass fiber, tensile strength improves rapidly, bending strength, comprehensive strength, and rigidity are somewhat increased when aspect ratio of glass fiber is 13:3. Glass fiber and pores are well distributed in polypropylene, the pore is not out of shape while adding glass fiber, and pore size is 20~40μm according to SEM photographs.
