As increasing of heavy oil component in raw oil and rising of light oil yield, this result in stricter requirement for lift pipe reactor of oil refining unit.According to the basic given data of catalytic cracking and the related scientific materials, using Daqing atmospheric residue as feedstock, the catalytic cracking reactor and regenerator including main accessories was designed which can consume 0.5 million ton crude oil annually to produce diesel , gasoline and so on. This paper describes the processes and selects the parameters. In the meantime, the balance of input and output, the balance of energy and the balance of pressure between the catalytic cracking reactor and regenerator are calculated. In order to increase conversion of the diesel and the gasoline, efficient and typical MLC-500 molecular sieve catalyst and additive (metal passivator and promoter for burning carbon-monoxide) are used in the cracking reactor and regenerator.External regenerator and internal regenerator were designed in this paper. External regenerator and internal regenerator have the same height and axis, so space can be decreased between the two regenerators. In the meantime, the connecting tube length and damage between them can be decreased andr they can be operated and maintained and repaired easily. The temperature distribution of external regenerator and internal regenerator is in the same condition. Internal regenerator is covered by external regenerator completely, so heat loss of catalytic cracking in internal regenerator can be decreased by this way. It needn't heat insulation between the two regenerators, so they can be isolated simply.Coke on the surface of the catalyst can be burned completely using two regenerators and coke can burn stably. By simulation experiments, the coke content of catalyst in the internal regenerator can decrease to 0.05% and it can improve catalyst activity. Both operability and coke burning performance in regeneration of the system were improve with satisfactory product distribution. The carbon content of regenerated catalys decreased to 0.05% from 0.2% with good product distribution and energy consumption reduced.
