To develop high quality, high efficiency, energy-saving, environmentally-friendly new binder is the urgent need of the 21st century development of "green cast". The new type cold-box technique of CO2-cured Alkaline Resol phenol resin is put forward by English Foseco Company in 1989, which has many advantageous properties, such as low poisonous content (free phenol<0.2%, free formaldehyde<0.1%), low environment pollution, simple curing process, and high production efficiency etc.The main research topics is CO2-cured Alkaline Resol phenol resin, which is different from Foseco's. The topics is to the development of new environmentally friendly binder, That R salt crosslinker is chosen is to reduce costs and improve strength; That catalyst content is increased is to enhance hydroxymethyl-content and storage; the process is optimized and modified preliminary experimental exploration is done.The contents of this topics can be divided into several parts: 1) Through the research on the synthetic mechanism, the reference of a large number of information and a lot of exploratory test, initially range is set about the ratio of phenol, formaldehyde, catalyst and the basic synthesis technology is also set; Synthesis test filling ways and resin viscosity value is set; Through the single factor test and analysis of the factors on the performance of resin sand, thus the level and factors of the orthogonal test is confirmed. By orthogonal test, experimental parameters is optimize, phenol: Formaldehyde: catalyst is 1:2.3:0.2. 2) Phonetic resin binder is a binder system, in which there are resin, dispersing agent, crosslinker, coupling agent in accordance with a certain proportion. Through the analysis of a single factor test and the analysis of the infection of various components of the bond on the strength, and also the analysis of the sand core electron microscope photographs of the fracture surface, the level and factors of orthogonal test is found. Through orthogonal test, the best optimal ratio of binder is confirmed. The best ratio of resin is that NaOH:R salt:silane = 100:13:50:1 (mass ratio). 3) In the early synthesis, the strength is improved through the addition of R salt, silane, ethanol, acrylic acid as modifiers, which is the best R salt; The usage time, gas-forming property, collapsing property and other properties of the CO2-cured phenolic resin are researched. 4) Through market surveys, economic analysis of the CO2 sclerosis alkaline phenolic resin binder is done.
