China's textile industry has a long history of development . With the improvement in production design, technology and management, Chinese clothing had high competitiveness in the world market. However, current two-dimensional garment CAD technology has been unable to meet the application requirement. "Line" and "Modeling" of the cloth are the line and shape in 3D space instead of 2D plane. There is an urgent need for the garment CAD to develop the technique from graphic design to 3D design, in order to obtain more intuitive results.In the study of the existing three-dimensional garment designing technology development, this paper describe some efficient algorithms to meet the requirements of real-time system with two aspects of cloth simulation and collision detection.In cloth simulation, we explore the development of existing three-dimensional model, and compare the advantages and disadvantages of Geometry Model, Physical Model, and Combination Model. On the basis of the efficiency of the numerical solution and selection of the step size, we choose the combination of "Spring—Mass" model and Verlet integration algorithm to achieve cloth three-dimensional simulation, and effectively improve the realism of the simulation results.In collision detection, we study and summary the existing collision detection algorithms. Comparing with sphere, AABB, K-Dops, OBB, and Convex hull hierarchical bounding volumes methods, we find out their own characteristics. For the simplicity and tightness of bounding volume hierarchies, we improve the current AABB bounding box algorithm by using two minimum and maximum property points in the cube instead of the traditional eight points to deal with the collision detection, so that speeding up intersection test. We still study self-collision detection and "point - the triangle" collision detection to improve the accuracy of the collision.Finally, for identifying the feasibility of the method, write a cloth simulation program. The system still includes use for the object that examines a collision, displaying the dynamic state result of the cloth simulation better.
