This paper analysed the mechanical properties of horsehead structure through the mumerical simulation. Huaibei Liu Shop Coal Mine for engineering background, comprehensive considerated the impactative various factors of roadway deformation,using ANSYS large numerical simulation software, established a 3-D elastic model, designed three different program of excavation subsequence, simulated roadway cross-section shape and different excavation subsequence to impact the stability of the horsehead rock structure, revealed the rock deformation characteristics of horsehead structure, according to the characterictics of force, obtained optimizative programme that benefits to rock stability and supporting; calculated the horsehead section loose circle thickness based on the experimental loose circle computing formula, with comparative analysed the results of field engineering, designed bolts,metal network,anchor wire,shotcrete unified support method conform to deep shaft connecting chamber deformation controlling on the basis of experience analogy and roadway rock loose circle supporting theory, and with the later application and the actual monitoring results, achieved good results, and has a high reference value to guide the future desigination and construction of deep shaft connecting chamber.
