Cold-rolling mill is an important production procedure of technical process of cold-rolling production. The optimization of production planning of the cold-rolling procedure can improve the quality of steel strip, increase production efficiency, avoid the manual influences to the production planning, and lighten the working intensity of planning maker. It has been paid a more attention by steel enterprises. Therefore, it becomes particularly important role to study the production planning algorithm of the cold-rolling mill.Taking the cold-rolling plant of BaoSteel enterprise as the background, after the description of the cold-rolling technology and considering the research of production planning and scheduling in Steel industries, the production scheduling algorithm of the coil sequence planning is studied. The coil sequence planning can be classified as one of the typical combinational optimization problems-TSP problem. In this paper, the mathematical model of coil sequence planning is built. A mixed simulated annealing and partheno-genetic algorithm is established in this paper to solve the TSP model of the coil sequence planning.In system developing process, a method of Matlab/C# .NET integrated programming based on COM is introduced. It efficiently integrates the advantages of Matlab and C# .NET, such as the powerful function of Matlab Matrix computing, flexible programming and user-friendly characteristics of C# .NET, all of which ensure the accessibility, maintainability and expansibility of algrithm. The last of this paper introduces the structure of the whole system and functional modules. This system has been successfully used in BaoSteel enterprise in 2008.7. In system application, the production scheduling algorithm proposed in this paper can lighten the working intensity of planning maker, improve the equipment utilization of cold-rolling mill, and the effect of the coil sequence planning is obviously advanced than manual arranging. This scheduling software system has brought satisfied economic effects to cold-rolling enterprise.
