Tio2, commonly called Titanium Dioxide, has a high level of whiteness, reducing power, opacity and chemical stability, which is irreplaceable white pigment with the highest performance in the world today. It is widely used for coatings, paint, plastic, paper, rubber, printing inks, chemical fibers, enamelware, etc.If Titanium dioxide without surface treatment is directly used in some organic materials systems such as paint, plastic, rubber, etc, one for mismatched performance, Titanium dioxide is difficult to disperse, another for its photochemical activity, which will accelerate the organic materials aging. Therefore, when Titanium dioxide is used in organic materials systems, it must be treated with inorganic and organic surface coating treatment. Inorganic treatment is mainly used to remove its photochemical activity, while organic treatment aims to improve the dispersibility of titanium dioxide in organic materials systems.Inorganic treatment mainly includes aluminum coating, silicon coating and zirconium coating, while organic treatment has a lot of ways to do. Because of external blockade on new techniques, domestic Titanium dioxide for organic materials has a poor quality, and its quality falls far behind similar products abroad. This paper takes internal Titanium dioxide as fundamental material to develop a sort of Titanium dioxide for plastic replacing the same products imported from abroad by doing a research on inorganic and organic surface treatment process of Titanium dioxide.Silicon coating process is studied in details in the paper and silicon coating Titanium dioxide produced under different technical conditions is observed surface features and tested water dispersivity , grinding dispersibility and weather resistance, by which the best coating process is formed , that is, the coating dosage of coating is 3%, coating temperature is 85-90℃, coating PH value is 9.5-10.The paper did a research on aluminum coating and inspected the result of coating produced under different technical conditions by the experiments of solubility in acid, then the result indicates that the dosage of coating is among 3.5—4.0%, operating temperature of coating is about 90℃, PH value is among 9.5—10, the good coated product of Titanium dioxide coated with aluminum can be produced by parallel flow adding way and proper feeding speed.D-7066 organic silicon was found the best organic coating agent by organic coating agents, combined silicon coating process with aluminum coating process, a new process silicon-aluminum organosilicone united coating technology was used and a new type of Titanium dioxide R828 for plastic occurred, which has a good liquidity and its heat-resisting temperature is above 300℃.After a plastic application performance testing of R828 Titanium dioxide for plastic and the same products at home and abroad, contrastive analysis result of the dispersibility shows that sample R828 dispersion is homogeneous in PVC (mean particle diameter is 3.04μm), and there are no obvious agglomerated particles, its dispersibility is far better than domestic similar products and equal to similar product abroad RCL696 (mean particle diameter is 3.18μm). The research on processing characteristics shows that the rheology of torque of all several samples can meet the demands of production, but the torques of RCL696 and R828 is much lower and is helpful to contour machining. The research on hiding power shows that the hiding power of sample R828 (opacity is 0.260) is better than domestic similar products (opacity is0.210-0.240) and can match with the same products abroad. The research on thermosenescence test and UV light aging test shows that each index of sample R828 is widely superior to domestic similar products and can match with the same product abroad RCL696.
