Electric furnace roof is an important device for electric steel making,whose heat preservationperformance and life-span have a direct impact on the economic benefits of iron and steelenterprise.With the appearance of the technology of UHP electric arc furnace steel-making,tradition firebrick roof already can not satisfy the use demand.In this case,a scholar puts forwardan idea of using prefabricated block to install the whole roof.Whether prefabricate block roof canreplace tradition roof depends on the level and the distribution of temperature and stress of them.This paper mainly does the following researches with the object of a 30 t electric furnaceroof of a steel mill.(1)Considered contact behavior between prefabricate block,this paper establishes the completeCAD/CAE model of the electric furnace roof with finite element software based on the theory oftransferring heating subject,and respectively calculates the stable temperature and stress field ofthe firebrick roof and the prefabricate block roof in last melting stage,as is advantageous toanalyze the level and the distribution of temperature and stress of electric furnace roof.(2)Obtains a preferred plan by comparing the temperature and stress field of electric furnaceroof under different casting precepts,that is,when use three pieces of prefabricate block to installthe full electric furnace roof we can get a low strain level in all and the one.Puts forward aproposal to change the shape of the joints between prefabricate block as the contact stress mayaffect the heat preservation performance of electric furnace roof.(3)This paper investigates the effect between the temperature and strain level of electricfurnace roof and the material parameters.Research indicates that they have a trend to change inthe same direction.(4)Considered the characteristics of casting process,this paper optimizes the casting materialparameters using ANSYS optimization module.Research indicates that we can get a betterperformance of electric furnace roof by using appropriate technical means to deploy the ratio ofthe composition of casting material reasonably.To a certain extent,this research provides theoreticalsupport for study of casting material.The research work of this paper plays a certain reference role for understanding thedistribution of temperature and stress of electric furnace roof,manufacturing prefabricate block ofelectric furnace roof,researching and developing casting material property.
