By making an analysis of the factors on the influence on the pressure comfort of women's shoes, we found that shoe heel is the main factor when the shoes are in the same style, the same head shape of last and produced by the same process. We do the research on how shoe heel's height and shape affect the pressure comfort by the combination of objective and subjective approaches. At last, we get a conclusion which can be applied in the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to develop an evaluated system on pressure comfort of women's shoes.Nine pairs of custom shoes are used for experiment. They are divided into three groups by heel height, namely low heel, middle heel and high heel. They also can be divided into three groups by heel shape, which are cone heel, straight heel, and slope heel. Nine measure items are defined in the experiment, including four manual measurements and five pressure measurements. The thenar of foot is divided into seven zones, which are the whole thenar, the heel, the first and second metatarsus section, the third and fourth metatarsus section, the first phalange section and the second to the fifth phalange section. The feet of 33 college female students whose shoe sizes are 235 have been measured. The experiment contains the plantar pressure measure both in stand and walk. After that, they fill in a questionnaire concerning their feeling on both conditions. Then, SPSS and Novel software package are used to get data. Descriptive statistics, bavaria correlations and Multi-factor analysis of variance in 0.05 significance level are used to analyze the data. The main conclusions are as follows:The static Peak pressure augments with the increase of heel height. With the same shape of the Shoe heel, when the heel height increases from 50mm to 70mm, the Peak pressure changes significantly greater than when it increases from 20mm to 50mm. With the same height, the static Peak pressure of cone heel is more than it of straight heel and it of straight heel is more than it of slope heel. Static Maximum mean pressure, dynamic Peak pressure, dynamic Maximum mean pressure, and Pressure-time integrals all have this tendency. The result of subjective questionnaire shows that the value of wearing comfort augments with the increase of shoe heel's height. With the same height, cone heel shoes are the most comfortable one for wearing, followed by straight heel shoes, and slope heel shoes are the least. The result of bavaria analysis shows that Peak pressure in different conditions has more correlation with the value of wearing comfort. The result of multi-factor analysis of variance shows that the height of the shoe heel has significantly greater influence on wearing comfort than the shape of the shoe heel.
