Due to most of the anti-corrosion paint have Pb and chromate, it is not ideal and may pollute the environment when we use it. So the green anti-corrosion paint become one of the targets of the corrosion protection field.Polyaniline has attracted many research groups due to its special properties such as good chemical and environmental stability, low cost and its easy to synthesize among conducting polymers. The research shows it's promising to use PANI as an anti-corrosion material and it can oxidate the steel to form a passivation film, so it may substitute the Pb and chromate in the traditional paint. The research and application of PANI's nanostructures is also a focus in recent years. The control of PANI's nanostructure is not only significant for it's application and properties but also it may have an effect on other material's application and properties. So we use micelle formed by the surfactant in different concentration as an template to form the nanostructures of the nanomaterials, and it's a focus in recent years.The imidazoline is a kind of cationic surfactant and it's an efficient and excellent corrosion inhibitor in acidic environment. In our research we analyze the effect of imidazoline on the synthesis of polyaniline. Meanwhile the detailed experimental conditions, such as the concentration of anline, the temperature of reaction, the acidity of the reaction solution, the CMC of imidazoline have been carried out. The possible formation mechanisms of the morphologies were also proposed.The anticorrosion coatings of polyaniline/epoxy resin were prepared according to certain formula and spreaded on steel surface. The anticorrosion property in the presence of 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution were investigated by the relationship of open circuit potential and time, tafel polarization curves and EIS.
