Isobutylene is one of important chemical industry raw materials. Along with the various countries develops vigorously the high added value fine chemical industry product, the demand of pure isobutene as the fine industrial chemicals also increases along with it. At present, the productivity used the MTBE method production isobutene in the world occupies the isobutene total productivity above 70%.The Isobutylene equipment of Jinzhou Petrochemical Company was put on production in 1997. The designed capacity of it was 3000 T/Y, and Isobutene purity was 99%. It was expanded to 4000 T/Y in Aug of 2007, and isobutene purity enhanced to 99.7% above.The technology for producing Isobutylene by MTBE cracking is studied in the paper. The thermodynamics model was chosen according to properties of MTBE apply. The process imitation in the Isobutylene equipment separation system of Jinzhou Petrochemical Company was realized by simulation process software PRO/â…¡. The material balance and energy balance were built. In this foundation, the processing parameters of the Ether rectifying tower and the cooling absorption tower were optimized. And compared it with the transformation actual data, the imitation method is verified and feasible, and the theory and the practice unifies organically. Also the operation parameters, for example reaction temperature, absorbed dose in the absorption tower and so on, were discussed carefully. Through using the advanced tower internals, optimizing the processing parameters and reforming the equipment process flow, the qualities of the staple product isobutene and the sideline product methyl alcohol were improved obviously.Input material of Reformed ether rectifying tower is heated beforehand, so the Ether rectifying towers bottom reboiler thermal load is reduced and save energy. Secondary cooling and absorbing tower was added to improve the Isobutylene quality. To improve the purity of Isobutylene to polymerization level, the light component desorption process is set before the heavy component desorption process.
