| Arylimidazoles have prodigious potential in the field of electroluminescence and photoluminescence, duing to the consturction of resonance. Howevr, most of these materials have low quantum yield. It is a widely argumentative subject that the relationship of molecular structure and optic behavior, which is the foundation of designing high performance compounds.In this paper, a series of substitutive arylimidazoles with high quantum yield were synthesised, through embellishing the molecular of 2,4,5-Triphenylimidazole, such as substituent,conjugation,planarity. It was an interesting work, in which we adhibted bond between suffocated benzene rings, so benzene rings and imidazole were condensed and benzene ring returned to the molecular plane. The influence of solvent was discussed.Triphenylimidazoles were synthesized in the condition of bibenzoyl and aromatic aldehyde refluxing in the system of ammonium acetate and acetic acid. The condition was then optimized. Two routes were adopted to synthesize derivant of benzimidazole, one is o-diaminobenzene and aromatic aldehyde refluxing in methanol, the other is o-diaminobenzene and aromatic acid refluxing in ethanediol. The structures of all these compounds were characterized by mass spectra, 1HNMR, elemental analysis.UV spectrum and fluorescence spectrum were assayinged, quantum yield was calculated. The relationship of molecular structure and optic behavior was scientificly discussed. Then, we summarized the external and internal factors that influencing the optic behavior. The reasonable analyses were given by studying mechanism. |
