Chinese dietary culture is the flower comes out from orient grand, on which the resource is rich and the people is wise and diligent as well. The blossom appears while the frequent communication between Chinese and Western culture. Firstly, the introduction of Western dietary culture initiates the new opportunities for Chinese dietary culture to develop and to absorb the nutrition selectively and comprehensively from the world dietary culture. On the other hand, it opens a window for Chinese people to learn Western culture which has influence on the social psychology and behavior.The article attempts to find the new changes and also the reasons in the perspective of Chinese and Western Culture in modern times. This theoretical observation is not only scanning of history, but also speculation of present.The first part origins from the static physical angle and take"eating"and"drinking"as point of penetration. It analyzes the changes of Chinese food culture with the striking from Western food culture;The second part states from the dynamic behavior angle focusing on the behavior changing since modern time under the background of communication between Chinese and Western dietary. It includes the changes of dinning and banquet;The third part analyzes from the psychology angle. It states the psychological changes of dietary with the western influence;The forth part, from culture, economic and political angle, searches the reasons for the changes mentioned above;The fifth part compares the advantages and disadvantages of Chinese and Western dietary culture from the values angle and seeks how Chinese people absorb the favorable issues from western. Besides, it explores the new brightening prospect to further Chinese dietary culture development sticking to national tradition.
