This dissertation had studied the synthesis, properties of surficial chemistry of a N- Lauryl-N`-Hydroxyethylethylenediamine acetate (amphoteric sodium acetate).First amidation was added when a chemical reaction occurred between lauric acid and AEEA.Then sodium chloroacetate was adopted to prepare amphoteric sodium acetate.IR indicated that the result had a correct structure. Through method of Phosphotungstic Acid to determined the content and it was more than 94%.Under different salt(NaCl,NaF,NaBr), the surface tension of amphoteric sodium acetate was determined by the ring method the ring method(Du Nouy method). It was found that the critical micelle concentration(cmc)and the corresponding surface tension at such concentration (γcmc) are determined from theirγ-lgC curves, which is in the ranges 0.86×10-4~8.91×10-4mol·L-1 and 24.41~28.85mN·m-1.Through the caculational of micelle thermodynamic parameters,it was concluded that the forming of micelle was driven by entropy. The mixture of amphoteric sodium acetate/Ⅱ-12-4 and amphoteric sodium acetate /NaCl had been researched. The value ofβwas calculated according to regular solution theory. Moreover,we applied criterion to decide the condition of if there had synergism between surfactants. The micellar properties for the concentration near above the cmc have been characterized by the aggregation number, Nagg using a steady state fluorescence quenching method. The micropolarities of mixed systems were determined from the ration of intensity of peaks (I1/I3) of the pyrene fluorescence emission spectrum.
